Absent Homeowner Care

Once your renovation is complete and you are enjoying the benefits of your holiday home, you will want to feel comfortable during the portion of the year when you must be absent from the area. We can provide a schedule of inspections of your home to check the safety and operation of the property, giving you peace of mind while you are away.

We also offer insights into ways to secure your property, eliminate fire hazards, reduce the possibilities of problems while you are gone, and increase the safety of your family and guests.

Based on your individual needs and desires we can schedule visits to your property to perform some or all of the following tasks:

  • Check heating or air-conditioning systems; make seasonal adjustments according to owner's preference.
  • Confirm that windows and doors are secured
  • Run dishwasher, washing machine and dryer
  • Check alarm system operation.
  • Check water heater visually for leaks.
  • Check and replace non-functional interior and exterior light bulbs (if supplied).
  • Change interior lighting timer schedule seasonally.
  • Adjust blinds/window coverings as needed.
  • Check visually for insects.
  • Confirm irrigation, landscape lighting and swimming pool timer operation.
  • Remove newspapers, flyers & mail from property and forward mail to the owner's postal address provided.
  • Flush the toilets, run all water taps and visually inspect for leaks.
  • Start your stored vehicle.
  • Complete walk thru after nearby forest fires, severe storms, heavy rainfall, measurable snow and extreme cold weather.
  • Oversee that contracted services are being performed: pool service, garden maintenance, cleaning services.

Additional Services

In addition we can be available for additional services on an as-needed basis:

Repairs

  • We can communicate maintenance issues and arrange for needed repairs. Any necessary work will be communicated directly to owner before any work is started and costs incurred.

Pre-arrival service

  • Set thermostat prior to arrival.
  • Arranging for house cleaning and make sure linen is clean and in place (beds made, etc.), before arrival of owners
  • Advance shopping according to owners shopping list (40€ added onto shopping bill)

Key-service

  • This service will meet and open the home for pre-arranged house guests and provide them with information on the home's systems operation as well as on the local area. Owners will provide names and dates of guests and identification will be verified upon arrival. We will provide a photo inventory of the house for you and your guests' piece of mind.

Program Designed for Homeowners

We understand that every homeowner and their property are unique and therefore will create a program designed specifically for your needs. We will happily add to your own home management list. If you require services that we have not specifically outlined, ask us!

A summary report will be sent to the owners by e-mail after each house visit to advise the on status of the house, and if necessary, which repairs are recommended to be carried out.
